The challenge was clear: We needed to raise their awareness and attract more pilots to visit the area, fuel up, have a good time, and tell all their friends.

The Challenge: Awareness

Thaden, like many smaller airports across the country, heavily relies on gas sales to sustain its operations. To achieve financial stability, the FBO needed to boost its visibility within the aviation community (EI: incentivize more pilots to fly into Bentonville, increase fuel sales). The solution was to highlight the unique attractions of flying into Bentonville, Arkansas, compared to other destinations. But what’s the best way to do that today, they wondered?

The Video Campaign: A Day in the Life of a Pilot

To address the challenge of awareness, our media team collaborated with Thaden Field to create a captivating video that would resonate with pilots and aviation enthusiasts. The video aimed to showcase the incredible experiences awaiting those who choose to fly into Bentonville Arkansas.

The video followed a pilot’s journey as he landed at Thaden Field, unloaded his mountain bike and rode all over the Bentonville famous world class mountain bike trails, and finishing the day at an exciting beer garden across the street from the airport. The video was able to showcase the main attractions of the area any pilot can expect to experience all in a single day. The idea was to take everything people were saying through word-of-mouth when they would visit, and put it into a short 5 minute video that we could share with the entire world of aviation at once. And that’s exactly what we did.

In less than two weeks, the video garnered over half a million views, 400 shares, and more than 100 positive comments from the exact target audience we were hoping to reach – pilots who had never heard of us but were now very intrigued to visit. People from across the country were captivated by the unique experience Thaden had to offer, and they were eager to learn more:
