There's an airport in Bentonville Arkansas that is an absolute dream for private pilots and back country enthusiasts - just one problem, they hadn't heard of it yet!
We were tasked with creating an ad campaign that would highlight all of the remarkable and charming features this state of the art airport has to offer; which meant we got to load up our gear and take a few back country flights around the Ozarks, chow down on some delicious food, hit the famous mountain bike trails, and visit a local brewery within walking distance of this idyllic FBO. We talked to locals to help share the highlights, and even the team over at Fly OZ, to fill in the gaps of some impressive stats. The campaign was a huge success, garnering over half a million views, exciting a ton of new pilots from all over the country, and sharing everything this airport has to offer.
We partnered with Ropeswing Group on this one to produce a series a videos promoting a few aspects of Thaden Field – highlighting their pretty inspiring dedication to attracting more female pilots, their flight school/ discovery flight program, and even taking over their social media page. That stint actually brought us the attention of our next long standing content partners with Women of OZ.

The full tea? This was one of our very first campaigns, and we had very little clue what we were doing at first. The team at Fly Oz and Thaden Field were incredible to work with, giving us so much flexibility to try new things until we finally got it right. The video itself went through several iterations, while the campaign strategy itself was actually pretty straight forward, and worked as beautifully as originally intended. Ashley got her start in running media campaigns as a media buyer before making the leap into video creation, which helped. We found a target audience pretty quickly and easily, as pilots are a very passionate bunch! The positive reviews and massive amounts of shares speak for themselves on this one. We really couldn’t be a whole lot prouder of these humble roots.
